Backup to Cubbit (S3) with Iperius

Iperius Backup supports backup to the cloud with Cubbit, with which it has established an official partnership. You can use Iperius to back up files, databases, and virtual machines to Cubbit Cloud using the S3 protocol.

Iperius Backup is one of the most comprehensive tools for cloud backup. It supports backups to Amazon S3, Aruba Cloud, Wasabi, Minio, FreeNAS, and any other S3-compatible storage. Iperius also allows you to copy files to Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, and Azure Storage. First, Download and install the latest version of Iperius Backup.

Then follow the steps below.

1. Create a new backup job and add the files, folders, or other special items (drive image, ESXi or Hyper-V virtual machines, Exchange mailboxes, SQL Server databases, etc.) that you want to back up to your Cubbit account:
   
2. Add a Cloud destination by clicking the related button (in the “Destinations” panel):
   
3. Add an S3 account by specifying your Cubbit credentials (if you don’t have them, you can create them by following this link):
   
   Enter the following parameters and credentials:Name: choose a name for the Cloud account
   Type: S3
   Access Key ID: your Cubbit API access key
   Secret Access Key: your Cubbit API secret key
   Service Point (URL): https://s3.cubbit.eu

   Select “Use SSL” and set the signature version to 2.

   Click “Save” to validate the account and have it listed among the accounts.
   Close this window and return to the cloud destination configuration.

4. Configure the backup parameters to store the files in the cloud destination, in Cubbit’s storage space:
   
   You need to select the newly created account, then you can specify the bucket name, a subfolder, the type of backup (full, incremental, differential), and many other options (zip compression, AES 256-bit encryption, synchronization, etc.).Click “OK” to save the destination and proceed. You can then configure a detailed schedule for automatic backups and email notifications.
5. Once the backup job is saved, you can run it immediately for testing:
   Iperius will automatically transfer all files to Cubbit storage quickly and reliably.
