If you have a very old version of Iperius Backup installed, for example before 5, it can happen sometimes that the auto-update procedure does not work properly, returning the error “HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently”. This error occurs when executing the auto-update procedure, clicking the button shown in the image below:
The error is simply due to a change in the addresses of the servers where the updates reside, which occurred in the most recent versions of the software to improve reliability and performance. When this error occurs, Iperius can still be updated, but in a different way.
To update Iperius Backup you will need to download the setup again from the official website (https://www.iperiusbackup.com) and reinstall it over. It is not necessary to uninstall or adopt any particular precaution. The previous version will be overwritten and updated, and both the license and the backup configurations will be maintained.
Clearly, this alternative procedure will have to be done only once, after which Iperius can be updated again with its automatic function, with no errors anymore.
We remind you that it is always advisable to keep Iperius Backup up-to-date, to have the latest bug fixes and to get all the new features. Iperius Backup news can be found on this page of the official website: https://www.iperiusbackup.com/news.aspx
