My goal is to use LTO tape drive for long-term off-site archives. I have tested Iperius, it works perfectly for that purpose and I’m ready to buy the full version after I get the answer to one important question: What will happen with my data if Iperius go out of the business in the next 20 years?
I wish you a successful business for a century or two, but you use online activation which means that Iperius install is useless if you go off the business. LTO drives, SCSI controllers and (in that time) ancient computers will be possible to buy, but online activation will be impossible if there is no activation server online any more.
Do you have solution for this problem? Can my data be restored with some standard tool (like NTBackup or mt/tar). Or can I use Iperius for tape restore-only job without activation?

We had a server crash recently and had to reinstall everything including the Iperius backup software. We have an existing computer code of the Iperius software for this server but need to reactivate the license/

Hi, for image backup Iperius must be installed on each machine, so you need multiple licenses (there are high volume discounts anyway)

If I buy a license, how will I activate the program as my computer does not have Internet? And then how can I do the program updates, with this computer never having the internet?
You can copy the Computer Code from that computer and generate the related activation code from another one. Then you can paste the activation code on that computer. Internet connection is not needed for activation.
Although the autoupdate won’t work, you can also update Iperius simply reinstalling it over, using a new setup file. All settings and license will be automatically kept.

Well, if in brazil we try to buy for us is offering annual license, i don’t have option to pay perpetual licence. Because of this, I decline to buy this software.
